money laundering

Mrs. DAB is very clever.

she and I both have our "fun funds", mine is mostly gun related, hers is mostly gardening related. any gifts we get (like birthdays, anniversary, Christmas) goes into these funds we have. if i make and sell a cutting board to Scooter, that goes into the fund too.

so Mrs. DAB enjoys baking. but i don't enjoy getting fat. so now and then, she will bake up some goodies, we freeze them, and when we have several bags of goodies ready, we ship them off to my parents. Mom doesn't bake much anymore, but Dad still enjoys cookies and goodies.

everyone is happy. almost.

of course, we buy ingredients with our common checkbook, use the ovens, pay for shipping, all out of household money.

but then Mom turns around and send Mrs. DAB a check that more than covers shipping costs. i'm not on the check mind you.

So Mrs. DAB snatches the check, cashes it, and adds it to HER garden fund.

:toetap:

hey.....how about me?

sorry buster, the check wasn't made out to both of us.

and that's why i use household money to buy ammo.....

Makes sense. Cartridges are just firearm ingredients.

DAB's grocery list:

milk
eggs
butter
toilet paper
case of FMJ 9mm +P

Seems legit.

Seems legit.

except i'm not allowed to go grocery shopping. unless we are out of something that we need now, and i'm already going to town for other reasons. then i get a written list that is checked on my return.

ammo is normally bought online cases at a time.

When both of us were still working, we had a simple rule: As long as she makes three times the money I do, it's all our money.:leaving:

We're kind of the opposite here. More like 6-1 in my favor. I pay for everything, but P puts all of hers into an account for GWiz GT fund. We've done the math and I "think" we'll exit this school with $0 in debt....5 years @ $50k each. :willy: Another reason dead race car remains dead. Low priority right now.

worst part: i went to the gun shop this week, with cash money in my pocket....and i walked out with the same amount of cash.

nothing drew my interest.

have my eye on a 9mm carbine, but i'm a little shy of cash for that presently.

If that carbine is of the AR variety consider building it yourself. You might not save a lot at the end, but you will have exactly the piece you want with no compromises at all. I have much less in my 9 than the least expensive complete carbine I have found out there, but it took me nearly a year of shopping and scrounging to do. Sure is a hoot to shoot though!

Come visit. I have a box of ammo with your name on it.

Small box. But it’s a box.
