Apparently I’m an egotistical, bragging, asshole. Mods. Don’t close this thread. It is not a trolling thread. I just need to know where the lines are and I’m hoping the folks here can guide me.

“Egoistical, bragging asshole” are all sort of the same thing so we will simplify it down to “Egobragghole”

Some questions to help me understand so I stop being so offensive.

1. If Dab posts up his latest woodworking project is that bragging?
2. If Blademaker posts a picture of one of his incredible knives, is he bragging?
3. When Doug posts without a shirt, is he bragging?
4. When RGregory posts cheese pics of his wife, is that bragging?
5. When Neece posts up photos of her amazing bod, is she egotistical?
6. When countless members post up about their home renovation, recent purchases, new cars, watches, guns, does any of that stuff count?

I really just need to figure it out because it’s confusing to me.

When Aerovette posts his music is he an asshole?
When someone defends themselves from personal attacks is that being egotistical?
When repo busts some balls for laughs is he an asshole?
When C3C7Nic posts pictures of his beautiful wife doing charity work is he egotistical?
When Datawiz talks about his amazing daughter is he bragging?


If the President of the United States gave you a medal, would you tell anyone? If you did, is that bragging?

If you worked your ass off and unexpectedly got to play with your heroes, would you keep that shit quiet? Or would you celebrate with your friends?

If a member is down and needs support is that whining?

Is it possible that innocuous comments might be filtered through someone else’s eyes, with all of their personal bias, insecurities and personal disappointments and cause that person to misunderstand and take offense?

If, yes, is that the fault of the person who is being helpful, truthful and matter of fact about things in their life?

Does sharing what is happening in your life with friends make one an egoist?

Do I only post about taking a shit or say “STFU KOKO”? Is that what is allowed?

When JSMachine gets a new steam powered engine and posts video is he bragging (those must be expensive)

When nitronick posts his incredible photography is he bragging?

I know that is a lot of questions. But I hope you will help me become a better person and stop looking down on the little people. I know I can do it with your support.

You're way over-thinking some silly internet bullshit.

egnalf doesn't mind any of that stuff. he did, however, think a strict rule about putting a dog down because the dog was being taunted and had a natural animal reaction, well, went over the line. In fact, egnalf is happy to see successful people share their successes, as a means to motivate people who too want to be successful. that can be a great motivator if used properly by the viewer.
