that is like comparing putting a ladies stocking over your wanker and expecting it to perform like a condom.

Bandana does not = "mask"
handmade cloth mask does not = "mask"

But both does help lower transmission when nasty people are coughing or sneezing, so does the hijab.

I have a few handmade masks that are really nice, that have the soft inner lining.

Something better than nothing, but not optimal.
