I'm building an outdoor sitting area/garden this spring and summer. Fire pit next to be built.

We purposely purchased a portable one so we could move it to wherever we want to make a fire. A built in one doesn't give that option.

My wife picked this one out and a firescreen was a must.

It'll be a move able pit, not stone or anything heavy so can be moved also. Definitely putting some ash screen on it also. Welding project for the son soon as I get the steel.

We never burn here in the city at the house but, up at our property we have a burn pit in the middle of the yard. Just have to very careful up there and only burn in the winter, I don't want to be "that asshole" Because when it's dry out there it's a friggin' tinderbox... :seasix:

No fire here tonight... it is still 82 degrees and 80 percent humidity. Still gourmet sausages and Angus burgers on the grill... with tater tots and onion rings, Served with Bourbon and colas... Good.

Front came thru and dropped the humidity and the dew point. It's nice and comfy :yesnod:

It's dry heat here in Comifornia and fire isn't always a good thing, gotta be careful!…. Remember the Camp fire? I've lived here my entire life, I've seen and learned what to do and what not to. Again, we only burn in the winter here :yesnod:
