Seat modifications
I race a C5 with a racing seat. The C2 has a stock seat. Road race the C5.
The C2 is drag raced with a stock seat. I dont have enough headroom. Any idea's on modifying the stock seat for more room.? |
It sounds as though the place to look for the extra headroom is in the mounting tracks. Possibly you could eliminate them or shorten their legs, depending on whether you want to retain their adjustability.

How much room do you need? You could remove some foam from your seat bottom.
Take care, Steve |
It is difficult to gain much room with stock Corvette seats and tracks. With aftermarket seats you want to look for the thinnest seat bottom and low brackets that can be modified to mount as directly to the floor pan as possible so the seat bottom is mounted nearly directly on the floor.

C2 tracks are flat on the floor, padding removal wont give me 2 in. I got to thinking and taking out the headliner would help. After maarket seat like Corbeau in certain model might work Ar,RRS,RRX Thank you all for your help. I probably should have added more info about my experience. |
