I have never had any issues with FedEx, but something interesting has caught my attention. Seller told me that they are only picking up a certain amount of packages a day from a given vendor. My wife ordered something she needed because the local store was out of stock, ordered on 6-3, shipping label created that same day, but never picked up by FedEx. I ordered a set of wheels for the Coupe from OE Wheels in Sarasota, a couple hours drive from me. Tracking number (label created Saturday AM), says expected delivery is today (ground shipping within FL is overnight), it is still at "Label created" which means they have not picked it up yet. So has shipping quantities passed their capabilities? Seems like it. They don't get picked up soon, I will just ride over and pick them up.

A couple years ago, a customer paid the company for OT to finish a job to be shipped before Christmas so they would have it in house before the new year. ( tax reasons)

So I busted my ass to finish the job and it was packed and ready to ship the morning of Dec 20. The CUSTOMER called FedEx to pick it up at our company. They did a lot of business with them as they were their primary shipper.

No FedEx pick up for days. We both the customer and us called, FedEx said "we're too busy, will pick it up later"

I have read where Fed Ex is limiting the amount they will pick up from certain shippers per day since the volume exploded due to the virus. Some very big retailers are seeing significant percentage of their daily shipments being delayed.

Might not be a FedEx problem. The company I worked for we would create shipping labels as soon as the order was generated. It was just part of the order cycle.

Switch from FedEx Ground to FedEx Express. They have a service they call Express Saver, and they will pick up same day.

Update... Tracking showed the wheels were picked up last night. 10:00 this morning they were delivered. And the FedEx guy drops them in from of my garage door instead of on the front porch! All good now.
