I don't think Samantha has much time left

based on how much weight she has lost and shows no interest in food, milk, treats, deli turkey or anything. She is a ~13 y/o Torti cat.

Sorry bud. :sadangel:

Murray 12-23-2020 4:38pm

No idea if 13 is old for that type of cat but with no appetite there’s obviously issues. Sorry to hear.

We have two cats ..one of them is 22

Bill 12-23-2020 5:02pm

Damn, sorry to hear that. Has she seen a vet? Maybe something can be done? Maybe she has an infection?

We are in desperate need of vets in this area. The wait is about 3 months.:banghead:

Thoughts for ya, losing a pet is a terrible thing.

Damn, where are you? We live on an island and can normally get our cats in for an exam within a couple of days, even less if it’s an emergency :sadangel:

Millenium Vette 12-23-2020 5:38pm

So sorry :sadangel:

WTF? We actually tried to see a vet late yesterday afternoon, as Loki ate a sock. Stupid dog. None of the emergency animal hospitals are open during the week because COVID. We could have taken him down to Allentown, an hour and a half drive. Instead, the local vet, who wouldn't see him at 5:30pm, said to feed him Vaseline and he'll shit it out eventually. :banghead:

I'm about 99% sure that your dog and my dryer are related, somehow. Hope the doggo gets it all out of her system without too much of a problem.

Tried to quote and reply, no quote appeared. This is an ongoing issue for me when I try to quote.

I live in a small town in Southern Indiana.

Rikki Z-06 12-23-2020 7:00pm

Sorry bro :sadangel:

Sounds like kidney failure. Just lost my best buddy last Friday to the same symptoms :sadangel:

Her and Adie are the only pets left from when we moved up here in 2010.

z06psi 12-23-2020 8:36pm

And I can't get my 14 year old cat to die. She is a specimen of purrfect health.

:cert:

Took ours to the vet last Wednesday, they ran all kinds of tests and said it was a kidney infection. Put her on antibiotics, but by Friday she wasn't looking any better, so I made another appointment for the earliest time they had open, she died about an hour before that apointment. She was 18 and lived a good life though :sadangel:

Sorry man. My min Schnauzer is rough. He is 15, has dementia, etc. Thing is, he eats well, and his system works fine. I've been hoping he will die in his sleep, because the thought of putting him down just wrenches me.:sadangel: Part of life though...

Well, there's your problem. Move to a bigger town and you'll be able to quote properly. :yesnod: :leaving:

This would be the 3rd sock that Loki has eaten. The first two were surgically removed when he was 4 months old, and then at 7 months old. He'll be six years old next week.

At 14 she has many good years left. What's your rush? :toetap:
