No, you don't get it. What you think is funny other people might not. Or what i think is funny the same thing. This is a forum nothing more. If our busting balls with people and they're many of us here that do it to each other is not to your liking don't participate or don't let it bother you. We do it because we like each other. :cert: |

I bought my own. It was a 1969 Camaro. Then I bought a 1967 Charger. Sold the Camaro. Then bought a 1967 Malibu. Sold the Charger. Then traded the Malibu in on a new Rally Sport. Then bought another 1969 Camaro. All this in junior and senior year of high school. I have been buying and selling since. Started this year with five cars, currently have six and sold nine in between. |

You guys missed the best Miata joke. A friend told me that you can always tell when a Miata passes by from the sound:
"MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmI'mgaaaayyyyy!":seasix: |

My first car was a 1955 Chevy convertible i bought with my money in the 9th grade. I drove it without a learners permit until i got one at 15 1/2. Sold it and bought a Monza spider a POS. sold it and in the 11th grade bought a 1964 Plymouth Fury 383. Sold it my senior year when i got drafted. I worked for Corvette, Porsche, and Ferrari and retired in my 50's. I can't and won't tell you how many exotic sports cars i have had and drove. OBTW...I didn't have a dad. :yesnod: :cert: |

It sounds like you've had a few nice rides on your own. So maybe you weren't petted as a child. I've never bought exotics. Driven a few but not interested in owning one. I enjoy working on my own cars and being able to access and buy parts at a decent price. Apologies for the Dad comment. Every boy should have a role model growing up. If I had known I wouldn't have went there, even jokingly. My bad. |

Thanks but it doesn't bother me not having a dad. I learned to be street smart at a very early age. It almost killed me but it also helped me years later. I worked for Irvine Central Motors in So. Cal in 1990. I remember we had a Lamborghini Miura we were asking 100k for. Now they're worth well over a million dollars. Irvine Mazda bought us out and i stayed with them for a year. They loaded up the lot with Miata's. Only had four colors. Red, Blue, Silver, and white. A great handling car back then with a short shift. They copied the British sports cars but with 100x more improvements. People were paying sticker and we were selling them before they got to the dealership. Unfortunately over the last 30 years they didn't do a whole lot with them. A little different design, a little more HP, and different colors. I just remember they could easily out handle a Corvette and just about everything else. The 101 HP was the only drawback. :yesnod: |

The ones I have had have either been red or silver. Hey, the 2001 has 142 bhp! And see, a completely civil response from you. :hurray::clap: Did it hurt just a little?:Jeff '79: |
