The Equalizer 2

Hmmm, will definitely watch it, as I LOVED the first movie, but this one seems to lose some of its originality.

Is this affiliated with the 80's TV series?

I have always liked Denzel. Great actor and a class act. He was perfect for this role.

Mike Mercury 07-17-2018 8:13am

i never saw the first one.

Will put on our Netflix list.

Speaking of Netflix, I just finished “Wild Wild Country” which is about the Bhagwan. I’d recommend it.

I just watched the Blade Runner sequel, Blade Runner 2049. I was fully expecting it to suck, but I actually liked it. :yesnod:

Agreed, and I think this is the first time Denzel agreed to do any sequel.

The first one was great and opening movies always rob the originality from any potential sequels. This is the great challenge for any director.

Will be stoked to check it out.

That reminds me. I recorded this on HBO a few weeks ago and forgot about it. Need to watch it.

Yeah, I was somewhat surprised actually. They got the gritty film noir detective story feel right. Story was interesting. And just like the first one it's very deep and requires more than one viewing. Great visuals!

Enjoyed most of his offerings, The Book Of Eli, one of my favorites.

As stated, class act.

Lost all respect for Denzel in 1992. He had a sense of entitlement on a TV show claiming if he doesn't get the Academy Award for "Malcolm X", he was gonna claim discrimination. He was a whiny arrogant punk.

Al Pacino won for "Scent of a Women" and Denzel claimed he was OK with it.

Al won for a movie made ten years prior?

Denzel should've sued.

OK , I stand corrected. Denzel did Malcolm X in 1992 , the year that Al Pacino won for Scent of a Woman. So Malcolm X must be the movie he felt he deserved the award .

He probably wanted that Gold Statue so he could put a chain on it and wearing around his neck, like a Mr. T on the A Team.
