I no see pics either.... but having owned a Rock Island, (along with numerous Kimbers) it's a shame you will lose that in a tragic boating accident .

Nice. And I love the ultra carry too. That's the ONE thing I look forward to about winter- I can comfortably conceal my Ultra Carry Tactical for off duty carry. In the summer, I wind up defaulting to either a Micro 9 or a 2 inch snubby .357.
I liked everything except the finish about my rock island. It would scratch if you looked at it wrong.

For a little over 650.00 after rebate I can live with the RIA getting messed up.

The Kimber was my EDC when I lived in NH. Great carry gun. In Florida I have a P938 which is perfect for here.

I didn't realize anyone was still making a double stack 1911 in .45ACP. I have the Para Ordinance version which is my nightstand gun. Oddly enough, I also have a Kimber Utlra Carry. Mine is the one with the Crimson Trace grips.
