I visited their factory back in the early 90's. I've never bought their crap since then.

So what was it exactly that caused you to give up their ice cream? Aside from the fact that Ben and Jerry look like Cheech and Chong and the Dairy Industry had a baby.

I get that. Their ice cream is ok...nothing tremendous though. But I think I mentioned in another thread that if I stopped eating, drinking and using products that have liberal ties, I'd lose my mind.

Blue Bell Ice Cream here in Texas is pretty much the best I've had.

Aerovette 12-10-2020 5:13pm

I stopped buying their stuff long ago. But I have Blue Bell so I don't miss it.

I don't eat ice cream unless it's in a chocolate malt so I'm not going to affect their sales.....but if I did I would never buy from them again.

Dan Dlabay 12-10-2020 5:59pm

I have never had their ice cream and never will. We have Young's Jersey Dairy here good ice cream and milk.:cert:

SQUIRMIN VERMIN 84 12-10-2020 6:12pm

I followed the link on the site. Kolin Kraperneck has his own cash cow going
for him while he incites a new generation of anti-American activists.

My fav ice cream is Tilamook. My dad was an ice cream salesman - I know good high butterfat ice cream. B&J is not bad better than most mass market stuff. But over priced for what it is.

69camfrk 12-10-2020 8:08pm

I haven't bought any of their crappy political overtone ice shit in years.:yesnod::leaving:

What happened to the trend of licking ice cream and putting it back on the shelf?

bigblock427 12-10-2020 8:25pm

I have never had Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Now I know I never will.

Some of the names they gave their products smacked of far left political crap. After speaking with a few people there and then doing some investigating i decided my money was not going to support their views.

Just like I've not owned a pair of Levi's for 3 decades.

Old Ben 12-10-2020 8:52pm

Never bought their stuff. Blue Bell is our go to ice cream.

Blue Bell is fine stuff.

I do find it pretty easy to avoid companies that are the worst offenders. Dick's, Starbucks, Ben and Jerry's, Nike, many others won't get my nickels. I struggle with Levi's though. Mostly worn 501s since high school. I'd love to cut them loose but can't find a suitable substitute.

I'm down with Goya though, especially with their employ of the month award.

Bill 12-10-2020 9:49pm

Blue Bell FTMFW! Breyers and Tillamook aren't bad, I'll occasionally pick up a carton when they go on sale.

ratflinger 12-10-2020 10:02pm

Tillamook is very good, Blue Bell is very good, B&J can suck my ass!

Goya makes good products - I can recommend them

The two that started this company were super liberals. When they sold it they got people just as liberal as new owners.

Way too many companies out there that I do not have to support their idiocy!:hurray:
