I’m no expert so I like reading everybody’s opinions on the market.

Been making nice gains these last several years but seems pretty obvious a lot of it is result of central bank’s and government manipulation.

For those in, what are your thoughts and strategies?

I made huge profits with MPC during 2020. Then nice profits swing trading xom at the end of 2020. Now I’m sidelined waiting for a dip in energy and trying to determine what Biden’s handlers will do.

I bought a bunch of epd recently. The dividend pay date is 3 February and the ex is 28 January. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/EPD

Don’t know about all that? I don’t invest in anything I feel is immoral, so none of that stuff or tobacco companies.

I’m trying to stay ahead of the inflation tax, to have the financial means to support my family and to defend myself against government gone wild. :confused5:

Yep. Taxes and inflation can destroy a retirement plan. Now that I earned it I have to keep it. I will slowly move all IRA funds to a Roth while I am able to remain in a lower tax bracket.

I would if Trump was still in office. Who knows what EO Biden will sign next? I'll sit on the sideline awhile. I'm satisfied with my MPC and XOM gains in 2020.

I'm getting leery of our consumer economy and trying to invest with producers. I think there is too much faith in the current monetary arrangement and historically, we are due for all sorts of crazy, including a potential world war.

If the dollar gets displaced as the global reserve asset of choice, we will be paying full price for the inflation our government is producing. Though I think it's bad enough even now, notwithstanding the bullshit CPI numbers.

The IMF and WEF have been talking about a reset and/or Bretton Woods remix. Doubtful that will benefit all the folks currently consuming without producing, whether straight up welfare recipients or many of our government employees.
