I have, piece of cake with the right tool, P/N J-25033-C. I think new they go for about $100 or so, I just got one used as I broke mine (don't ask). I assume it will work on a C5 also, if you want to come by and see if it fits, PM me, I will let you borrow it.

Thanks for the offer Thegreenman, but I need some more tax deductions.

I am buying new tools to be able to tinker, I rather do stuff myself.

MATCO tools has a really nice install/removal set for around $100.

I got mine at Handsontools.com, another source to check.

Advance Auto has one, BUT it's really cheap. I tried one and it one worked one time, after that the threads where screwed up.

:iagree:

Since I had mine out, and on the bench, I took a hammer and smashed the plastic pulley off it's hub. Didn't take long to make it 2 pieces. :D

From there, any appropriately-sized 2 or 3 jaw puller will remove the hub from the PS shaft.

I used the Advance tool to draw the new (aluminum) pulley on the PS pump shaft, but still had to heat the pulley to get it to go, as I would have broken the tool otherwise. (Synister PS pulley - it was a VERY tight fit).
