Nice cluster of bees in the maple tree. Not sure what kind of bees as I didn't want to disturb them. :D I'm assuming they are starting a new nest and relocating. First two pics are with the 18-55 lense and the rest are with the 70-300 lense on the Nikon D3400 |
Look like honey bees.

Looks like honey bees to me also, late in the season for a swarm as don't think they'll have enough time to build reserves for winter(could be wrong but weather guy here said something about late season swarms recently).

Wow. You need to find the queen and put her on your chin. Within about ten minutes you will have a fabulous beard O’ bees!

Just got back from a house went see, doing minor repair on, and the front yard needs work like MAD, and so car was innundated with black flying bugs that were screwing in flight, one on top of the other and the two of them flipping around......each one about 1/2 inch long, looked like ants of some sort, first guess but they flew.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bees are still 30' up in the maple tree. Talked to some neighbors and made a few phone calls but since it's up high, nobody is interested in getting them. |
When Mary and I left for work this morning at 5:30, the bees were still in the tree.
When we got home at 4:00 , they were GONE:dance: :hurray: |
