Taxed to death

Just got a bonus check, first one this year $2600.00. $1361.00 after tax.:leaving:Guess the other $1300 will go to feed deadbeat baby mamas.

The people that vote for a living outnumber the people that work for a living.

Sweet Jebus. :omg:

I once got a bonus. After withholding my net deposit was $0.00.

:toetap:

My brother in law got a 3% raise this year, and with the Bush tax cut gone he made $76 less in his paycheck

This is why when we try to hire sales people, they will not even look at you for under 60k base. The whole bonus plan really isn't a selling point anymore.

Bucwheat 02-01-2013 2:53pm

It really sux.

Things will just keep getting worse. Obama and his liberally biased media have successfully vilified the Right, the Working Class, the people who actually provide the means for those suckling Big Government's hair-covered Sasquatch tit. The people who want something for nothing outnumber those willing to work for their rewards. Fcuking bullshit lazy ass motherfcukers.

Oh shit, did I just say that out loud? :g8r:

:slap: Wasn't a Bush tax cut, it was a SS "vacation". Vacation's over. :(

As long as the low information people keep voting the Santa's in office, we're screwed.

SteelCityBlue 02-01-2013 3:30pm

Here's where it sucks from management standpoint. If I set up a bonus plan that pays the top 5k and the middle 3k, it doesn't take long to realize the extra work isn't made up for in the bonus after taxes.

Then the top performers want their base adjusted come year end review, but HR didn't put that in the budget...

I could go on for days....

No kidding. Hit the big bonus, bring home about $200 more than the guy who hit a smaller bonus.

Bucwheat 02-01-2013 3:38pm

It makes those of us who work want to do less because the rewards are a kick in the :kick:

Wathen1955 02-02-2013 12:58am

We can thank Clinton for that. Before Clinton, the tax for a bonus was the same as payroll tax, but Clinton changed that and taxes it as a gift instead, so the end result is a ~47% tax on a bonus check.

lutzdog 02-02-2013 1:23am

I know your pain. I put alot of OT in for christmas and got a 2000 added to my paystub but actually made less than if i had not done any ot at all.......where is the common sense in that.

I say the 5000 people that are actually working to pay for the rest of america go on strike.

NavyC5 02-02-2013 2:05am

I have the solution to the problem but nobody wants to hear it. Bottom line, if you're a tax payer you get to vote. If you're a tax consumer you don't.

Pretty simple, you shouldn't get a vote if you don't have a dog in the fight.

So do you really think that 100% of your payroll deductions go to pay for that?

Do you think they run the pentagon with bake sales?

I wonder how long it would take to catch up the National Debt if all public assistance was cut off for a few years? :island14:

About 50 years.....

It will NEVER be paid off, it's gone WAY beyond any ability to EVER pay it off, even with inflated bux....

time to just repudiate the debt, and let certain hoods burn.....

and when they come out to the wage earning burbs, open fire.....

:issues:
