Weaponized DOJ
This is exactly what the Nazis did when they created the SS.

How far are we into Orwell's book?

Balls deep.

I agree. I saw a Tee shirt that said "Make 1884 FICTION again!"
1984 started around 2017 with full force out in CA. Of course it started way before that, but it was clearly evident everywhere about 5 years ago. I just took a CA survey in exchange for a Target gift card (Have been there 4 times in 30 years). It was 5 questions---what was your sex at birth, what sex do you identify as, what is your sexual orientation, and what is your race. I checked the 'prefer not to answer' box on each question and got my card. Meanwhile, our country tanks. Crazy. |

In 1964 my Father got a letter from LBJ asking him to rejoin the Marines and go to Vietnam. It was a VERY good deal they wanted to make with him and a few others. After doing some investigation he found out just how bad the war was being managed from Washington so he replied
" Dear Mr President, Go **** yourself. Sincerely JJH" He found out in 1967 he had been placed on the FBI watch list. The FBI has been used by the federal government to go after people who disagree with them since , at least, the late 1940's. |
No surprise here, WAY back when I was early in my Fed career there were two IRS "whistleblowers".....their names and actions were widely known, both were GS-14s and they were ostracized and treated like paraihas... Their careers were over all while the gov't touted "whistleblower protection" and the like. There are two types of "whistleblowers" anonymous and named. Anonymous complainst are given little credence. Named submissions are scrutinized carefully but the "names" often become the stuff of office water cooler conversations. The smarter folks don't try it unless they have other career options.
As to suspended clearance, once that happens you really have no function as far as your "core" duties are concerned in a law enforcement agency and you are either on your way out or given menial and humiliating work. |
Sort of makes me glad that I won’t be around much longer. Or at least have nothing to lose when the SHTF.

During Trumps time in office, it would not surprise me one bit if a fair number of those on the other site to include some mods and site as a whole are on a watch list.
Constant threats of violence made daily, whacked out conspiracy that comes straight from their asses. Funny thing is the Mods choose to enforce double standards. It's one thing to voice an opinion you believe in, another to turn basic politics into right wing extremism. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...2fe7c2799e4e9d |

Rex Stout wrote a book based upon that premise back in 1965. Called "The Doorbell Rang". Good book. |
You know what strikes me as funny?
Sixty years ago, the quickest way onto the FBI's watch list was to make them think you were a communist. These days, the quickest way onto their watch list is to not be one. Rather funny, that. |
