What do you do when riding out a storm

Me, I watch Southpark and and start cooking 25lbs of Roma tomatoes into marinara sauce.
Gotta put the basil stalks in the jars, pour sauce in, then boil the jars to seal them. Gonna be some good stuff  And yes, I know I am a messy cook. Will clean the stove after I'm finished boiling the jars. |
good gawd...clean that ecoli-incubator/stove.... :ack:

On a electric stove? What could possibly go wrong? :confused5:
|
The last bad one, I spent the day getting furniture up off the ground and moving lighter things upstairs. Then stayed up for about 48 hours watching the water rise to within INCHES of the top of my foundation. Lots of fun. I'd rather have been cooking. :D

Wife's a weather junkie and her sister always comes up during a storm so the two of them get so worked up listening to the "worst case" "extinction event" news reports that I ust go somewhere and read and then do a safety check on the property about twice a day...

Reroute power to the office to be able to continue to work for an infinite amount of time.

Glad to see you repurposed the meth lab:seasix:

I like to go outside every 10 to 15 minutes just to make sure there are no major damages to the cars and trees and roof, and then I head inside for a beer to celebrate my manliness, and then repeat.
By the end of the storm I am passed out on the couch, with the wifey in my ear reminding me I am a dumbarse, and to get up to clean all the tree parts off the driveway and lawn. |

Snowstorms:
I'm usually out helping neighbors with our snowblower or helping out the elderly clear a path down their driveway Hurricanes: 1st time (aside from a baby Cat 1) went to my Dad's in Beaufort, SC and grilling steaks and drinking scotch Scott |
My wife took some meat out of the freezer this morning so I could grill when the power goes out. I told her that's not the way it works!
