It's not that they think black people are inferior. Rather, they feel "white guilt" because their ancestors treated black people poorly. While that is undeniably true, the people responsible for that mistreatment (as well as the ones who were mistreated) are long dead, and the responsibility for that atrocity died with them.

We once had a senile, decrepit politicians that told all black people they are NOT BLACK unless they vote for him.
