New Orleans Hornets pick new Bird Mascot/name...
 
This was the headline on Yahoonews a minute ago..."New Orleans Hornets pick a name and mascot more befitting the city"


All I could think of was..holy hell, the "New Orleans Jailbirds"

Only because "Welfare moocher" isnt a real bird...

fwiw, they are now the pelicans...which is a complete rip of pensacola's minor league baseball team, the pensacola pelicans.

Nobody cares about minor league baseball. The only thing people care about are $1 beer nights, and they throw in a free crappy baseball game.

Pelicans can be pretty gnarly...they fly around and land on stuff, they poop, and eat fish...thats crazy.

But they need to watch out for the Nets...
