Electric Knife died Suggestions?

My 13 year old $20 electric knife died on me over the weekend. :(

Anyone have any good suggestions for an inexpensive but good replacement?

Do they still have two separate blades?

As far as I know, I believe there are single bladed options as well.

Go green, get some exercise and skills, and save the planet!.......use a f'ing KNIFE!

go with a long slender blade........like cutting through butta! :D
...and if you want a cheap but excellent knife, go to your local knife rental shop where they run services for hotels and restaurants and ask to buy the ones that are out of service. Here I can buy a professional carving knife that's a little too thin for commercial use for around 8$. It will be hollow ground and very sharp and last you a lifetime.

I have a set of Henkels and I've had them for 25 years, and they're still like new.

I get exercise, I have skills, and an electric knife isn't going to kill the planet, well unless you take the shrubs and baby trees I sawed down with a sawzall into account. I am more than capable of butchering a bird with a knife I just like the speed and ease of an electric

Electric knives actually tear the meat with the 2 blades rather than slicing it. I don't know any professional chefs or butchers that use them. But if it works for you...go for it. :yesnod:

I picked one up at the flea market to carve a memory foam matteress for the camper and discovered it really works well for what it was intended too.
