Any must see’s in NYC???
Headed there in a couple of weeks for a few days. Trump Tower, World Trade Center, Chinatown, Manhattan Ducati and possibly a Yankees game. Maybe the James Bond exhibit. Staying near Times Square.
Any suggestions??? |
You could not pay me to go to NYC now.
Friend of mine is a retired NYC detective born and raised in NYC and he refuses to go back. |
Hate to say it but because of the idiot mayor de Blasio NYC has become a left wing shit hole.

Aircraft Carrier Intrepid - The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum it was docked near pier 83 when I took the boat tour around Manhattan many years ago. Didn't go on the aircraft carrier. The boat tour was great. Last time I looked the ticket price was very high. :shots:
Went into the Trump Tower many years ago and it was gaudy. Coffee shop in the basement had high prices even for NYC. The lobby had 3 plain cloths security men. All were about 6'11", 245 lbs. By law the public has access to the lobby. Staten Island Ferry ride was cheap and had good views of the city. Statue of Liberty , saw it in the 70's and the Island was very clean. Climbed to the top of the statue. Dad told me that coming home from Europe after WWII , all troops were on the deck. As soon as the Statue of Liberty came into view, thousands of men broke into tears and wept openly to include him.:USA: l |

Have fun, stay safe, be aware of your surroundings, stay in the touristy areas.

My wife is on her way home from a visit to my daughter's place in Gramercy Park Manhattan as I type. She said it was great, but bring a mask... Everyone is wearing them there. Personally, ICNLT, but my wife loves it. All of the restaurants are open, and she felt perfectly safe.
1) Stop in Tiffany's and check it out. People watching there is :cool1: and there is a lot of famous stuff right near there. 2) Take the Staten Island Ferry. It's free and you'll get a different perspective of the city. 3) The Intrepid Aircraft Carrier is a great tour. You'll be right in Hell's Kitchen as you walk to it. I have done it, and the Vets who guide you have sailed on it, and are a wealth of knowledge. |
Is Ellis Island tours still a deal?
