It's An X-Rated, Hard Core Monster for the Terminally Unhinged
...or so says Jeremy Clarkson.
New ride. I didn't realize I would miss having a sports car but I really did. Traded in the Challenger for this...2015 F-Type S, 20,000 miles, CPO, nearly fully loaded. This is for you Spence! https://i.imgur.com/OczFlRk.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qjgtT6P.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4rkruSh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FR5Gzxj.jpg |
Congrats! Striking cars. Wife wants one but I'm not willing to go back to work to get her one.
Bring that monster to Rosa's and let's get some proper photos! |
Nice looking ride. I like the color, too.:seasix:
|
Nice ride! As for "monster for the terminally unhinged" I bet several members of this forum have cars that better fit that description tho

That’s a sharp looking car! Congrats Mike!

Love It! Congrats! :seasix:

That is not your daddy’s jag.
|
very nice, indeed:seasix:

I've driven my daddy's Jag. I like this one a LOT better. BTW...it is a Supercharged V6...380hp. I looked at the R model. 550hp V8 and it was just too much car. This one is so well balanced and the sound...my God. |
Niiice.
|
That's technically a 2015 F-Type S. 380 HP, 0-60 in 4.3 sec., 19 City/27 Highway (you'll get better). It's the best handling, quietest, best exhaust note, and plushest interior around. Oil filters are almost $30, but you can go 7,500 miles between changes. Most quick-change places don't have the correct filter, but the German-made filter sold by Jaguar is better.
Congratulations! |
Damn that is a great looking car! :seasix:
|
that's awesome

I thought you might be a fan! |
Nice car, Mike. In a land of cars that often look similar, the Jag does not. :seasix:
A lady here in Chatsworth I know has one. She also said the V8 was just too much. So, you did well too. |
Challenger to F-Type is a heckuva upgrade. :seasix:

Don't get me wrong...the SRT was a GREAT car. Never a problem, fast as blazes, comfortable, and truth be told, light years ahead of the Jag in terms of infotainment. I'm just really not a muscle car guy anymore. I just had to get it out of my system. Quote:
I REALLY loved the last gen XKR, but the interior was just too stodgy. And it was all old tech. Otherwise I'd have gotten one. |
Very nice, Mike. I love the looks of the F-Type. I'd buy one over a C7 any day of the week, however, I don't fit in either. :(
Enjoy your new ride!:thumbs:  |
Vey nice! Enjoy! :cert:

Many smiles and miles man......

To get you current gas mileage requires 1 touch to go to a new page to check you current gas mileage. To reset the clock twice a year requires 2 touches, and very few require 3 touches. Most, such as heater temp, A/C temp, radio, heated seats and steering wheel require no touches; they're all part of the standard display screen. Remember that Jaguar builds cars with a philosophy in mind: It designs its cars for the person who knows something about cars. It is equipped with extensive amenities but no "gadgets". All the controls are the best laid out and most ergonomically placed of all cars. It is very easy to get used to. |
Sex on wheels :seasix:
|
That is a beautiful ride Mike! :wow:
I've seen a couple rolling around town here and they always grab my eyes. I won't be rockin' anything that doesn't carry the 6 of us for some time. I'm very jelly! Scott |
Very nice, congrats.
I will admit that the red interior shocked me as it looked very subdued in the earlier pictures. About three seconds later, it changed from shock to "hey, that looks great". Hope you get plenty of smiles per mile :toast: |
Nice!!!
|
That's a real beaut Clark! Congrats! They do sound excellent!
|
-Just an after thought: If you pull beside a car in a Mercedes, the driver of the Mercedes won't even notice the Mercedes. If you pull beside a car in a Corvette, they still won't even look. But when you pull beside a car in a Jaguar, they will stare at it.

The design is beautiful. I have heard them too. Not sure of the engine(s) but sounded fantastic.
Congrats! |

It would help if it was red, though. |

Red would have been nice, but I was looking more at what options it had, so you have to take what you can get. This is a very highly optioned car. This morning I went through the Starbucks window and told the girl at the window (same girl every morning) that I was trading in the Challenger... "You're kidding!" "Nope...today is the last day." "What are you getting?" "A Jaguar" "Oh hell who needs a Challenger!"   |

Nice ride, congrats. Love the color combo. I'm just to obsessive to have a black car again. I'd be twitching in the garage every night trying to keep it clean.
|
It's ok.
I mean, I rode in it today. It has a button for "Rain." Pushed it 3 times. Never did rain. I blame British electronics. Truly a stunning vehicle. Iron fist in a velvet glove. Supercharged 6 sounds better than most V8s. I'd take one over a C7 and I rarely say that about sports cars. |
I've been drooling over the F-Type for 2-3 weeks now; completely unrealistically, since I just bought a truck last year and won't be buying anything new for quite a while. I've been watching every YT review (2/3 of them focus on "But did you HEAR that exhaust?!?!"), reading every Jag forum, etc. I *NEED* to get one of these, but "someday" will have to be my timetable for now. Beautiful ride, IC, I know you'll love it, I'll have to enjoy it vicariously for now.

They are sharp as hell!
Wife and I both love them and would own one if it wasn't for the 4 extra passengers in tow. :D Scott |
Couple of tough football players there.......

My mom has been a Jag fanatic since the old E-Types...has had a few S-Types and XFs before moving on to a new F-Pace this year (she's getting on in years and has an easier time getting in/out of it). Enjoy! :cert: |
Saw an E Type that looked a lot like this on Monday.
