on...now...and tomorrow night. AMC. Still the best thing ever made for TV.

Hell yea ! I can quote almost every line from it. One my most favorite scenes is when Jake Spoon first shows back up at LD. Then they go into the spill about him shooting the dentist :rofl:

Best book I've ever read.

The TV treatment is awesome b/c Suzanne de Passe had enough sense not to change a damn thing.

Larry McMurtry is one of the greatest living American writers. I think that future generations will recognize that fact and courses will be taught about him in University, sort or like Hemingway is today. :yesnod:

He wrote the Great American Novel.

It's a shame he isn't more proud of it.
