My buddy that works in NOLA has 4 people out with COVID-19

My wife's boss has some kind of virus, high fever, body aches, cough. The last few days she says she has headache and can't taste or smell anything. She has not yet been tested, but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point. 49 yo with bad asthma.

I just found out today that my Niece who lives in London is on forced quarantine. She and her boyfriend are horribly sick, boyfriend started a few days ago saying he couldn't smell or taste anything. They were instructed to call the local "hotline", which they did, and again it seems like a foregone conclusion of what they have. They were told to NOT leave their apartment or go anywhere unless one or both of them starts to have trouble breathing, in which case they are to call back for further instructions. They are both 25 years old, and have no aggravating conditions.

It seems the not being able to smell or taste along with the mid range fever are pretty good indicators. No Dr. here.

I have been self-testing for a week. So far so good.

at the wifes work, they have a person taking the temp of each employee as they arrive (with a no-touch type of device).

If it's above a certain temp... you are told toleave and go back home until the fever ends.

My wife works at the local hospital. Everybody gets their temperature scanned when entering.

So far, no covid 19 cases :yesnod:
