Guess what? Power out 20:30

For ****s sake. Just reloaded the freezers (ad it packed in ice outside) had power all day. Now out again. This time my generator works. I fixed it!

Tank full of rust, dead wasps and unknown shit. Carb leaked bad. Took out the tank, flushed the hell out of it. Remove carb, inspect and clean. Reinstall. Boom works. I’m getting a new carb, fuel cock, spark plug and hoses tomorrow.

This sucks. People are out of food and water in huge numbers. Stores are closed or empty. No gas.

I, on the other hand, I Am Jeremiah ****ing Johnson so I have everything I need.

However I am surrounded by idiots.

Re-education camps may be in order.

Power outages are a regular thing around here, but only for a couple hours to fix a line taken out by a fallen tree. A propane generator is in my future. I’m waiting to see what rebates the greenies come up with to see if a battery pack and solar will be affordable.

Maybe Biden will sign an EO to get me a free solar system. Isn’t everything free now?

Look on the bright side.
You don't have a pool with potentially thousands of dollars of repairs in your future.:seasix:

A couple hours is not a big deal. Our power was out for over thirty hours, again for 13 hours, again for 6 hours 3x, last night for 4 hours.

I’ve had power out for 5 days and 24 hour periods in the past. Entergy finally did a lot of tree trimming that solved most of our problems. Hopefully Texas can solve your problems.

A solar array wouldn't have helped during an ice and snow event like this. Who is going to climb up on an icy second story roof to chip ice off a solar panel? I will freeze, first.

Who said I wasn’t happy? Try taking cold showers for a week when the temperature is 40 degrees in your home and you can’t buy groceries, water or gas. Report back at your happiness levels.

Luckily for us, we are prepared for emergencies. It’s mostly a hassle. But people are literally dying from it.

Shelves are bare, still no gas and water and food distribution points are set up in most communities.

No, I’m not unhappy. I’m pissed off.

That is true. I don’t post much at all. It’s been a rough couple of years with five surgeries. My mental state hasn’t been great. But for the record I’m not unhappy. Anxious, tired, frustrated? Yep.

Any goofiness I may have had is gone.

That's where the PWRcell battery backup comes in. The solar should be able to charge the batteries enough to get by. We didn't get ice buildup in south Louisiana.

Most power outages are during hurricane season or heavy rains. I would be more worried about the panels blowing off my roof.
