I have 167k on my 2003 525i and am still loving it. :seasix:
I just put struts all the way around for $1800 and all new brakes on for $1k about 8 months ago.
I haven't had a payment on it for 6 years. :D
I truly love that car.

I caught a 2 1/2' chunk of 2x4 yesterday on the way home from work, doing about 80mph. It was totally cool to watch unfold as it squirted out from the car in front of me, shot up, and hit the long way in the middle of the windshield.
If you look from the red security light on the rear view mirror at the windsheild, you can see the dust outline of the 2x4 that spanked it. It hit diagonally, square on the edge.
The glass spiderwebbed magnificently. :drivingskid:

My sentiments exactly! :yesnod:
If paint were to be involved, it wouldn't have been as magnificent. :D

We have a 328xi sedan and we love it. The sport package with the bigger wheels and stiffer springs makes it a lot of fun to drive. With awd and studded snows, its an animal in the snow.

Big Money Waste

Its German.

Call the dealer near you that you'll use and ask them their labour rate. That should scare you a little. And ask what a normal tune up or alignment, stuff like that costs. Good to know anyway. Strange colour combo....kinda girly. :fruit:

Nice looking ride. I wouldn't own one again out of warranty. The non "M" models are not as bad but the labor rate at the shop is killer.

carlton_fritz 10-04-2015 6:02am

You would be much happier with a 335xi coupe. 17" wheels look too small for that car. How long before you think there is too much red inside?

Chuck A 10-04-2015 6:48am

we have 2 of them not that exact model but BMW'S and they are expensive for repairs, and if you are planning on bringing them to the dealer, be very aware just for them to put it on the computer even without doing ANYTHING!!! will cost 180$
very expensive, indeed, even with warrany still will pay out of pocket
