Funny story from work today
 

Funny story from work today. I have a customer in Sac (2 1/2 hours away on a good day) that is a cop and he deals with patios as a side gig. Friday he sent his worker all the way from Sac to get some material desperately needed to finish a job, fine. my warehouse loaded the wrong stuff so I had to call him back to fix it, another hour + to his day. Finally. sent him back to Sac at 3 (think about traffic at 3 on Friday)


So his helper is a colored guy, very nice guy. He has 2 small kids that are in a daycare school. Realizing he wasn't going to make it back he called his boss (cop) and asked him to pick up his kids. Keep in mind they are in Auburn, prodomintely white town. He was working being a cop but still went to the school unannouced in his patrol car, in uniform to pick up the only 2 black kids in the school! When he was telling me how uncomfortable, odd that was I was in tears!
