We do not have the illegal problem like the border states but I am about fed up with the few we have.
|
I applaud Arizona for standing up for the people, as the article said we have lost our language, our history, and apparently our borders. I just cant see how the rest of america doesnt see whats going on???
|
Say what you want about the French but at least they are a country that has the balls to do something about a PROBLEM. More balls than our politicians in DC.
I'm happy as hell that Arizona has said enough and is taking a stand. While the liberal press and entertainers are in an uproar, the majority of Americans should be supporting and congratulating Arizona. I'm glad I won't be around this country in 50 years. If nothing is done, it's going straight down the $hitter. |
put some CEO's in jail. the illegal problem will end overnight.

Then anyone that hires illegals, to include the guy that picks up the guys down at the Home Depot needs to get time also. It's not just the CEO's, it's the Hollywood elitist that hires an illegal gardener or maid or nanny also. |

Are you suggesting we empower corporations to privately police the validity of personal documents? If not, how do you propose that CEO's ensure that all employees are in fact legitimate citizens? |

Do you know if they only use that law for "full time" employees? I have to believe most all large farming that requires hand picking is done by illlegals? I'm sure that requires more than 50 for any large scale operation. I know in my wifes place they pay them peanuts and can get away with it because they are labeled "salery employees" their legality is doubtful at best. I do know one longtime cook was caught and deported a short time ago. He was there 15+ years. |
We could cut all the Govt programs which aid illegals and use that money to build a sweet ass wall with razor wire and gun turretts.

I have seen and heard lots of people complain about that the immigrants are taking jobs from hard working people. Yet I can bet a paycheck that 9/10 would not go pick tomatoes or peanuts for money. I can tell you this I have done the majority of the jobs I mentioned growing up because I am from a small farming town and as a teenager you take a job that will take u and make what you can. But its back breaking work and noone wants to work like that for such little money. But I wouldn't doubt that is if all the illegals from the southern states were deported our cash crops would suffer and the economy would go further in the drain from huge farmers going bankrupt because noone will pick their tobacco. As much as we don't want them here, our economy does depend on them being here. |
I - and everyone I've talked to - would gladly pay an extra dollar for a head of lettuce or a bag of grapes if it meant securing our borders and putting people to work. Citizens may not want to pick lettuce for $6 an hour but they probably would for $12.
The money we'd save in taxes used to support the illiegals would make up the difference to the individual. |

But then the farmers in that type of industry pays by the head or bushel not hourly wages depending on what type of farming is being done, I am just basing this around what I know of the farms where I am from. And if so it wouldn't be no where near 12 bucks an hour. So lets go with your thought Kevin. Why would someone not pick lettuce for 6 bucks and hour if they are jobless?Yet an immigrant will? Why does it have to be 12 dollars an hour for a Citizen (as you say) to do a job that you get paid for, if you don't have one to begin with. As I could interpret the way you said they wouldn't for 6 but maybe for 12 means they think they should get paid more for hte same job an immigrant will do for half that because they are immigrants or do citizens think they are entitled to more money cause they are US citizens? The thing is that very few will do that type of work for the money that farmers pay for it to be done. I feel for the people in that article having to live with that everyday. |
1. Secure the borders
2. Enforce the existing laws 3. Create a worker visa program and tax their earnings 4. Prosecute companies that hire illegals w/o proper worker visa 5. Legalize marajuana and tax it |
