It's a token effort, at best. We don't have the capacity to hold hundreds of thousands of illegals. We'd have to build Sheriff Joe style tent cities, and the housing would have to be air conditioned, per Texas law for jails.

Give them a fan, they don't have A/C where they came from.

Or give them a one way flight to anyplace that voted for Joe Biden in 2020.

Much cheaper and those place will welcome them with open arms and broken down doors.

I'd sentence each one to the absolute max, then offer all of them the same deal after 3 or 6 months....we'll grant you parole if you GTFO of the US and go back where you're from.

Put anyone who tries to interfere in the same cells and it might work.

The Texas law on jails is they have to be kept at 85 degrees or less. Swamp coolers won't get the temp. there. Strangely enough, there's no such statute for state prisons, and many of them have no air conditioning at all.
