Nude number seven. Follow along step by step
 

Here we go. This time a fairly classical style I think. Pencil on stretched canvas for the first step. I almost used up an entire eraser trying to get proportions right.

I sure hope these series of paintings are not self-portraits...

Just wait. I’m working up my skill for a self portrait. I’m thinking, me sitting on the toilet with an iPad posting on the forum.

I’m really trying to not overwork this one. I found some expensive brushes my FIL had (he was a master sign painter) and wow are they easier to control. These colors are under paining. Most will be covered up. Then I scrape and wipe down to the underlying colors for texture. Blue recedes from the eye while warm colors appear to be closer. This I worked in some blue into the shadows.

Step 1 - Facebook. Plus drawing workshops. (Plus reputation for being legit. I’m more known for photography.

Step 2 - be very professional.

Step 3 - get the lighting right.

Step 4 - paint.

You do beautiful work.
