new to us "buggies"

Went to the local and highly recommended used car dealer and picked out two vehicles.

My wife picked a 07 Tahoe LT with 80K which was a local trade and one owner vehicle. It will be getting inspected on Monday and we'll pick it up as soon as it's done.

I will be getting a 04 1500 Suburban with 83K on it. They are holding it and I have to wait for State Farm to look at my current Suburban after to "subaru punting incident"

( I decided against the big block 2500 due to gas mileage. Mary did say "get it if you want" but 7-10 mpg would be a drain on the wallet )

Nice, good luck with them :cert::cert:

They're loaded up pretty good. The Suburban even has the rear entertainment center so the dog can watch TV

That Tahoe looks to be black, I approve that color choice :D

:yesnod: and the Suburban is dark too. Living in a rural area means the front is already dirty by the time you are drying the back :banghead:

Both are very clean and in great shape.

Very nice replacements for your stable! :cert:

When you sent me the pic earlier, I happened to walk by the identical truck.
We were in Phoenixville for a birthday party this afternoon.

Mary will be overwhelmed by creature comforts in the Tahoe after driving the Jeep Cherokee. :hurray:

Will be a much cushier ride for sure. Cherokees are great vehicles in many ways but comfy, they're not.

Choppy ride and not as good in the snow either. This will be a big improvement

Not buying that whole "variety is the spice of life" thing, eh? :D

Maybe in town but we're rural here. Dark colors are dust and pollen magnets :willy:

They will be taking on shades of yellow and green :cuss:

Good choice. I've had my '08 PPV for two years now, 140K mi, replaced rotors and brakes, that's about it. Rides nice, runs great, does lack some creature comforts, fairly decent mileage. Good luck with it.

JRD77VET 04-23-2018 6:50pm

The Tahoe needed ball joints for PA State inspection so that's on the dealer's dime. If all goes well, Mary will get the Tahoe tomorrow :hurray:

State Farm looked at the 01 Suburban, wrote an estimate and is in process of direct deposit for damages.

I should have my 04 Suburban this week too, When the 04 Suburban goes in for inspection tomorrow, it will get a front end alignment ( the steering wheel isn't straight :thomas: )
