Still at the same place. Went into the service dept after heart surgery in 2014. Less stress and hours.

I worked for a while as a service writer at a Ford dealer. Damn place was a criminal operation. I hope yours is better.:seasix:

At least nobody walks into the service department and says "I'm just looking.":leaving:

Its gotten worse nowadays we have two female sales reps stationed right in the drive ready to appraise your car or if the estimate is worth more then the car they will talk to you instead of the writer.:yesnod:

In sales we used to call that "working the service lane". Mainly just striking up conversations with people waiting for their cars. Not all salesmen thought this was productive, but I've sold a few cars that way. Hell, I sold a used truck one time to a guy who was getting an oil change at the Honda dealer next door. Step on my lot and you're fair game.:yesnod:
