I am surprised and curious about this. Doesn't seem to fit the usual narrative and lifestyle. :leaving:

It absolutely fits their narrative as of late. Find the wealthy cities and take to the streets with "free" beaded bracelets/necklaces.

Hell, you can even buy "enlightenment certificates" endorsed by the Dalai Lama himself if you can write the check. Sad but true.

Not ragging on religion/spirituality but it's an age old truth that in any quest for Utopia, nirvana, enlightenment, etc the human condition is always the outlier.

Also remember some stories a few years back about the Tibetan monks engaging in bloody wars with neighbors.
