Nothing to add, but I hit the rev limiter on mine over the weekend and that thing got pretty squirrelly on the Woodley Avenue On-Ramp to the 118 Westbound. I didnt' crash tho. :island14:

I have nothing but positive vibes for all things Corvette (especially the iconic C1-C3’s). Remember, the C2’s and C3’s got their bad-boy reputation which carried (and, still carries per GM’s Corvette brand manager) the day for the brand The new GM President (Barry Engle) is my former Ford boss and a good, valued friend. And, my second car was a ‘68 Camaro. But, when it comes to the Mustang vs. what, Camaro (?) I can’t put my head in the sand - the Chev cannot compete and they full well know it. Looks luke they’re throwing in the towel. Again. It will eat many C5-7’s for dinner. I’ve had several and, like the F-Series our passionate and more than a little OCD/ paranoid teams improve them enough each and every year to stay out of reach of the respected Chev. competition. Its good clean fun and tradition to slam the competition including anything ‘Ford vs. Chevy’ while hopefully remembering to insert an occasional factoid.
On second thought, naaw.... that’s no fun. https://www.motor1.com/news/356610/c...inue-2023/amp/ (see below video at minute 1:29 - p.s. Harlan is still the Corvette Product Mgr.) https://capitolcitycorvetteclub.org/...e-generations/ |
Speaking of Ford, look at their Electric 2021 Ford Mustang. It does not look like a Mustang at all.

You won’t see me in any line to buy one. It looks like a Mustang trysted with a Jaguar and here’s the outcome. Incidentally, Ford’s global design chief, Morey Callum’ brother recently retired as Jaguar’s design chief. Coincidence? Corvette is also exploring the same concept. The American utility/practical vehicle love affair is showing no signs of abatement. Remember the thrill, and then the demise of the entire personal luxury segment? (Monte Carlo/Gran Prix, Thunderbird, et al). Makers have to keep adapting or die.
That said, the Mustang brand is the gold standard. I hope this doesn’t have negative brand repercussions |
