So what are the symptoms of a bad DCM?

Currently, my memory settings get wild sometimes - moving my mirror, seat and turning on my heat. My FOB is always dropping signal too.

FOB doesn't work the door usually.
New battery in FOB yet?
Have you resynchronized the FOB to the car yet?

I still have to take it apart and do the solder point check, but the batt's good.
I have to resync the FOB if I don't drive the car for a few days. But even when it is still synced, sometimes the memory settings get goofy when I put the key in and start up. :banghead:

The FOB "talks" to the car via an antennae assembly Drivers side inside the cargo panel. I say assembly because it's got some circuitry attached to it that apparently has an eprom that holds the codes. This antennae also handles the TPS. You could have a problem there.

I replaced mine in the 97 when my FOBs kept getting forgotten and if solved the problem. Not sure how the memory seats and all that relate to the FOB in your car. 97 didn't have memory stuff and I haven't had an issue with the 04 ...yet
