As I understand it, it used to be difficult even for an American to immigrate to New Zealand. It does sound like some leftist politicians think it is a good thing to let Muslims into their country. Those politicians have a lot of heart. Not good sense but lots of heart. Bless their souls.

Historically, multi cultural societies fail. You can’t force diversity upon people. You can’t expect people that are culturally polar opposites to get along. Some people might be able to do it, other people can’t. Human Beings just aren't emotionally developed enough.
Very sad. Sad and strange times we live in. |
To add, the media and society are creating division while preaching a message of diversity and inclusion.
By backing one segment of society into a corner while trying to prop up another, they are essentially throwing gasoline on the fire. Politics and personal freedoms aside, it's ok to hate on the right leaning white male, but god forbid somebody say something derogatory toward a person of color, a woman, gay person etc. Thought police gone wild. By creating division and hatred, watching and what seems to be hoping for the violent results, they are having your cake and eating it too. While there were problems and violence concerning immigrants to the United States in the 19th and early 20th centuries, generally the people that were coming here were not that culturally different from the established population. They shared a religion, and generally the people immigrating here were all about assimilating and working toward common goals. Now you have people that are very culturally different that don't have the desire to ingrain themselves in an already established culture. A lot of them just want to exploit, and bring the values of the place they left and change the places they move to. It doesn't take a genius to figure out there are going to be problems caused by that. Just look at the Roman Empire and the Goths. We are following the EXACT same path. :yesnod: |
I am very much live and let live, and I am extremely sad about what happened in New Zealand. It makes me sick and angry, but at the same time we aren't taking a pragmatic and logical approach to what is causing these problems.
There is nothing wrong with diversity, but there is something wrong with ramming something up your butt in the name of it...and then going into full on book burning political correctness mode if you say something contrary to the accepted narrative. |

Yes, and the killer's weapon of choice was a AR-15 type "assault rifle", no surprise. After a similar situation in Australia years ago, Australia ban assault rifles and took the existing ones out of civilian hands. It worked well for them.
No one does better gun control than the US Army. They'll give you a weapon when they want you to have it. Otherwise it's a control item under lock and key. |

I for one are under enough bullshit here in the peoples republic of NY, I do not need my guns under some army storage and use program. That shit might work well in countries where the people are subjects, in case you do not know it or understand it we are citizens here! |
If only we had super strict gun control like Australia and New Zealand, this could have been prevented. And despite the fact the gunman livestreamed it on Facebook, tweeted about it on Twitter, and posted about his intentions on 8chan, the left is screaming that 8chan be banned. Hmmm, wonder why? That's quite the question.
Also the shooter, in his manifesto, specifically said he didn't like Trump and is an eco-fascist and takes his inspiration from fascists and whose perfect country is The People's Republic of China, CNN et al is blaming it on "white nationalists" and blaming Trump. |
surely the killer knew that guns are strictly regulated in NZ, and that walking around shooting people in houses of worship was against the law.
i know, we'll pass another law! :slap: |
