Picked this up a month or so ago. Finally got it set up today.

That looks really helpful!

About 3-4 minutes to position under the car, 30 seconds to lift. No more jacking it up and jack stands for me.

I might get me one someday.
Does the whole unit slide in from either side of the car-between front and rear tires,
or is it (2) separate jack stands, one on each side?

2 independent units, one for each side. They have quick-disconnect hydraulic lines with an electric pump.

Hydraulic going up, air cylinder to help come down. I missed the Costco sale at $999, but oddly enough found it on Home Depot website for $1099, Paypal 6 months same as cash! :hurray:

The car is my beater. 2000 Z51 6M Coupe. 143K miles. I have owned it for nearly 14 years. I use it mostly for the days I need to drive to work (110 miles round trip, most days I rive the van pool.

Does this mechanically lock in place once it reaches full height? I need a car on it for the long term and I'd hate to have some seal under constant pressure for a year.

Yes, there are 2 stops. One half way up, which puts the wheels a few inches off the ground, and full up, about 21". both have a mechanical lock so there is no load on the cylinders.

Had a 12V set of the higher lift variant for a long time. Good at the track with a jump box as power.
