So, because the media documented and aired it, legally it gave Chrysler
no leg to stand on.

I guess if other Chrysler employees witnessed the drinking and reported it
directly to HR, the investigation would have been kept out of the media
and the firings therefore would stand?

If you watch Michigan right now, it's looking as if it's going to be a right to work state.

This could soon be a very moot point.

From my understanding it has passed the senate and the house. It's sitting on the governor's desk right now.

I'm pretty sure Joe sees the Union as a way of lifting up the middle class, and possibly responsible for the creation of the middle class.

Joecooool, an ardent Progressive Liberal, only espouses things that are good for Liberalism and redistribution of wealth, which is what unions are all about.

Any attack on unions will be categorically opposed by him.

A side benefit is that he doesn't have to think for himself very much. :seasix:

I've always wondered about this case. Did the UAW really care about these employees/members or was it to prove that they still had the power to force Chrysler to re-hire these people?

Regardless, it just proves that Chrysler is a marque to stay away from.
