after 50 years, I guess it's joints are worn out......
almost as tired as me...... |
|
It just needs a new roll pin, Gene :seasix:
EDIT: Maybe both roll pins! :D |
I have a few that old. Yours have clearly seen more use than mine, though.
You can probably get a free replacement at your local Sears store, if it hasn't closed yet. |
What size pins does it take?
|
I have one that did the same thing, I need to measure and get a new pin

SO, time to kill this AM, drover around doing various stops, and went to Sears....not in stock, rack empty.....kid says 'go to Lowes'.....so I fight the traffic and go there.....get to front desk and of course they dunno a whole lot yet because they just got the line a few months ago.....and very recently got the individual pieces in.....so a guy goes fetch one off the shelf....and of course the returns desk asks for my d/lic. as in 'strange??' ya think?? well they read all that crap and finally get around to making me sign some ticket, which they can't read anyway.....they all really big on spanish, but understand english fairly well.....so I get home and take a large mag glass to the plastic tag on the new joint.......
MADE IN CHINA!!!! nuff said......I was laughing from the experiences.......OH BTW, the receipt on the new joint...... try 12.98, 13 BUX!!!! But they honored the warranty.......so FREE!!! |

I stiil have, and use my original SK, and Craftsman tools purchased in the early 70's. They are treated like gold! Yes, my tool habit has grown to several roll arounds full of newer stuff, but I enjoy the originals most! I guess it brings back all those great memories like swapping engines outside in the winter, or changing clutches while laying in puddles! :cert:
