Yeah, that's my rat rod/work in progress. I use it on the weekends and take it to the occasional cruise for now. Things are on the back burner due to an "occupational hazard".

'63 C10 with a few pieces from a later model donor truck...drives like a truck half its age. Power steering, front discs, 350, 700R4, 3.90 gear. I recently lowered it 3/3 with spindles and rear springs. Front is a little lower due to a previous owner and his torch.

Not sure about the hood but aside from that its sick. The rack is a little aggressive for my taste too but it works.

How do you like the 3.90 with the 700? Its geared kinda low no?

Arrowhead, he likes it for the most part. Working at a private club means dealing with a few "special" members if you know what I mean. He just went back up after spending a couple months with us and I think he's happy he made the move. The pace around Peoria is a whole lot slower than here. Mid west folks are more laid back, less worried about what you can do for them.

That hood is a little polarizing ain't it? The truck has been through a few hands and I'm not sure who that is a gift from. I don't mind it, but wouldn't go out and buy one. The gear works pretty good with the tranny. She gets out of the hole ok, and isn't screaming too bad on the highway.

If you had to guess what kind of RPM's are you seeing cruising at 70-75mph with that combo? The reason why I ask is because I was thinking a 700R4 and a 3.73 would be a good combo for a future project..

I think high gear is .7, so figure that with the 3.73 and you have effectively a 2.61 final. With a 26.5 in. tall tire I'm running about 2500 rpm.

Diamond plate in the bed, plain jane interior. Carpet and a recover are on the list...

Huh.. Never seen a diamond plate bed..

Not a bad idea though.. Probably really cost effective and looks different.
