Got my 2nd Shingrix vaccination shot today

Those things are pretty hard to find. Nationwide back order.

A local Walgreen's had it two days ago. I went in today and they were already out.

Luckily, Walmart had "a handful" in stock.

The first one I had, a couple of months ago, wasn't bad at all. The second one, though, is kicking my ass. My arm is noticeably more sore and I just feel like total crap.

Better than getting the shingles, I suppose. :)

Fever and headache now.

My wife and I had them this year. Both of us felt bad for a couple days afterward. The one we got 5 years ago was nothing compared to these two.

You have to get permission from your health provider. I thought shingle vaccine was a one time thing ? I got one a couple years ago.

The first kind years ago is only about 50% effective. This new one with 2 shots is about 93% effective. My insurance paid all of mine except $40.00.

Human vaccines are a PITA but animal vaccines are a cash cow from a big pharma standpoint.

The science is there but unfortunately so are the lawsuits.

We have been on a waiting list at a local CVS for almost a month now
My insurance will pay 100% according to them

Walgreens told me to call Sept 30. I called two weeks earlier and they said they had a few. I waited two more days and went in... they were out.

I'd recommend calling early and asking if they have it. When they say yes, grab it as soon as you can.

I'm staying in bed. Good grief.

Feel like I got beaten up.
