Which is cheaper?
Going to AutoZone and renting a PS pulley puller and pulley installer or taking my pump to the dealer and having them do it? I would pound the new pulley on with a block of wood but I don't want to F up the pump and have to spend more $$ on this project.

I'm not sure if its true or not because I haven't tried but I have been told that Advanced will loan some tools.
I had my son bring his tools home from work for me so I could do mine. I can get his tools for you if needed. |
If you DIY, Advanced Auto sells the universal PS kit for like $25-30. Maybe they rent it out too? I dunno.
I can assure you a dealer will bill you for at least an hour's labor, so figure $85+ if you take it to them. |
At Auto Zone you rent the puller and when returned you receive all your money back so you are only leaving a deposit for use of tool.
Bonos |
Autozone and Advanced both have loaner tools. Put a small deposit down, use the tool, bring it back.
