I know people finance tires but renting to own?? “Yes sir, you’re weekly payment will be only $25 dollars and as soon as you don’t want them, just bring them back. We’ll only charge for wear, so keep them in good condition. After two years, YOU GET TO KEEP THE TIRES!! Great deal. Please sign here...here....here...initial here...”

^^^^^^ people who have never been poor. Sometimes in life, its all you can do to get by. I would happily hire or help someone so poor that they need to rent tires, so long as its to get up every day and go to work in effort to better themselves.

The rent-a-tire market isn't really geared to people who need a set of stock size rear tires for their '99 Hyundai that has 200.000 miles on it, it's for people who want to put a $ 5,000 set of wheels and tires on that same car, but can't pay cash for it.

Regular poor people buy used maypops for $ 25 a piece at the Mexican tire shop in the hood. I've bought used tires in the past, mainly if I had a blowout with a worn set of tires and wanted a used matching tire that would get me through until the rest of the set was fully worn out and replaced.

You can get used or recaps for the price of said rental. Renting tires would be a red flag to me as this persons financial knowledge.

you don't think poor people should have nice wheels on their car to feel good about themselves? good grief man, I don't post serious thoughts.
