So...Im too lazy, do not enjoy, and dont have the right equipment to buff out the old lacquer paint job on my gasser project. So a friend told me about this detailer he knows who would probably do the job. He came by today to do a sample buff to see if he wanted the job. Looks like night and day! He agreed to do the job and I asked how much? I was honestly thinking 500-600 bucks. He hemed and hawed and said how bout 200 to 250? I said lets make it an even 300 and lets get er done!!:hurray: Im building this Gasser as a survivor car and want to keep the original paint, but want it to look as good as I can get it. Here's a before and after pic of the sample spot he did...:seasix:

at least it's not depressing gray/grey

Exactly what I would have done, and have done. I did it with the 55+ year old lacquer on my old Corvette. Much cooler than a new paint job, and tells the history of the car. Very cool.

I just saw this over there, and it caught my eye.
Second set of BB covers on a small block that I've noticed. :seasix: |
