That's a whole lotta greenery! Must be nice. Was looking at my trees yesterday and the leaves aren't even budding yet.

That's a lot of fire wood there. Hope you have a good log splitter.

Always wondered if Stihl was worth the money. I can see from those photos that it is.

I have a Husky 445 Rancher, which is probably 8 or 9 years old now, and was considerably less than a comparable Stihl when I bought it. It's performed well and starts after 2-3 pulls, although I've always used TruFuel in it, so no doubt that has helped.

This is the first year that we'll actually have an arborist company out. There's a deal with the Forest Service to split the tab on firewise work. The low hanging stuff has finally got even beyond my pole chainsaw; probably 12 feet or so. I'm not doing 2 acres of ladder work:rofl: Once they get done, I'll drag it with the tractor to make it as fire proof as possible. Hoping this year is not as bad as it looks...

I have had my 048 and smaller since 1990, i have a nice splitter but usually still do by hand..... did a big pile 7 years ago by hand. 5 acres cleared across the street cut it up and brought it over. Back cleaned up before the rain hit last night.

lol, I haven't had to do any free weights in a week....since I am old now.....2 advil and some drinks and I am good to hop up out of the chair after each day. I have the wood drop off race track for each rack.........drop off on each side and bring the splitter over or do it by hand:seasix:
