As with all holidays, we have to be nice to our unexpected guests. Do like I do and fix a nice beverage and find a comfortable place to sit until they leave.

Apparently, one or more mods/admins at the other place threw a holiday hissy fit, and banned at least a few dozen regulars. Some were already regulars here, some like me were already members, but didn't spend much time here, and a bunch of others found out a bunch of the banned folks were hanging here and joined.

There has been talk of many of us more or less not going back. Honestly, I'm getting a little tired of being banned for no reason myself. I have to go back at least some, because I have an ongoing bet on that board, but I have been steadily losing interest in the OT section of that board for a while now for a variety of reasons.

So, the question is, how does the regular group here feel about having an influx of folks from another place stay for the longer term?

For one, I am happy if people stay, I like the banter and the activity. I also like to have fun and poke the bear a little myself.

What's funny is some come here acting like "big city kids" and many of us are 15+ yr veterans from there. :lol:

that is how this place got started....I remember when the doors opened here, you could not even mention the word Barn or you would get banned.

Fun times, but this place is more like home and I think I know just about every one of the regulars here personally.
