We are a small business, and we try and take care of our core people, but if they call out sick for 3 months, we'll just shut it down. This will wipe out small businesses AND be a huge opportunity for fraud and for slackers nationwide.

Useful, as you know, only if the business can manage to stay afloat AND generate a tax liability.

California has a policy that deters the state or local entities from purchasing outside the state. I wonder what they plan to do when all of the business have moved out?

I've been an independent contractor for years. Thankfully, I'm not in Commiefornia. However, I haven't been able to find another gig since the last one ended on 12/31/19. :(

Just about every company I have come across currently have a hiring freeze. Also seeing cost cutting across the board. Lots of independant contractors will have a tough time keeping or securing business this year. :sadangel:
