So What Are The NYE Plans?
 

For the first time that I can ever remember, I will...by choice...be staying home by myself for New Year's Eve. I am a single person once again, I threw two parties for XMAS and Thanksgiving and I'm DONE. I'll be sitting on the couch, alone, binge watching James Bond movies and having grilled cheese and tomato soup. Happy as a clam.

Not sure yet. My wife told me I can't see my girlfriend tonight so we'll see what she's got planned I guess.

My plan for NYE, for the past ten years, has been not to have plans.

Nothing good happens on New Year's Eve. In years past:

Some idiot ran a stop sign and barely missed killing me.

My car was stripped.

I met a woman I later married.

probably drink quickly get hammered reawaken near NYE and go back to sleep after we hit pots and pans and scream happy new year, besides i will be working sund

Going to work late this afternoon. I work at a Strip hotel in IT. Property wants us on hand if anything decides to take a dump during the busiest time of the year. Taking my wife too. Don't plan on much happening so going to dinner at the property next door. Wander around there and then at my own property people watching and watching my wife have a beverage or 2.
Working on getting to a balcony to watch the fireworks at midnight. Right after midnight I'll be asking my wife to marry me again. Hope she says yes again too!

watch TV, read, and go to bed at 10pm. normal evening.

We're going to my mom and dad's. We have fun with fireworks, silly string and noise makers. The only down side is that we are on the road after midnight.

Mike, if my dad was doing better, I'd love to have you join us. We're a corny group, but you'd fit right in. :D

Going to my sisters for dinner then home before 12. I don't want to be on the roads for amateur hour tonight the drunks will be in droves. This use to be a busy night for me arresting drunk drivers.

Set at home watching TV in bed about 9 pm, and if the sounds wake mu up....fat chance, I just may put in some earplugs, and pull out the .357 and empty the cylinder into the dirt in the back yard......

THAT will shut them up.......

Doing nothing. Depressing. I want to do something but going out alone just has "loser" written all over it. Instead I'll be listening to my neighbors recreate the attacks on Aleppo.

My wife & I will be watching TV, and probably fall asleep before midnight, although we'll try & make it. No party, no visitors, etc. Fine with me.

A lifetime ago, before I met my wife, I was dating some girl who broke up with me because I didn't want to take her to some ridiculously overpriced crappy NYE thing at some club where all of her shallow moronic friends were going. Looking back, probably the best thing that could have happened. :hurray:
