new Pontiac GTO? This in only a rendering, and there has been no announcement that Pontiac is bringing the car back in any shape or form.

Does it look like the now zombie Aztek found a Cadillac and stole its eyes in order to look like a true Frankenstein? Or would this thing sell faster than GM could manufacture them?

MrPeabody 03-28-2017 8:37pm

I like it, but there is no Pontiac anymore.

OddBall 03-28-2017 9:02pm

Pontiac? Wait, you meant Plymouth. Wait, you meant Mercury. Wait...

Dave 03-28-2017 9:11pm

That makes me thankful that Pontiac was killed-off. The world dodged that bullet.

m and t's77 03-28-2017 9:12pm

Kill it with fire! :ack:

Would rather have a '74 version.:leaving:

Milton Fox 03-28-2017 9:26pm

Thats obviously a German car - BMW most likely.

snide 03-28-2017 9:30pm

GM should have killed Buick instead of Pontiac.

The reason they didn't was Buick was the biggest selling car in China at the time. Don't know if it still is.

WalkerInTN 03-28-2017 10:47pm

GM would have to bring the Pontiac brand back & convince hundreds of dealers to invest millions so Pontiac would have a dealer network again. Never going to happen. :nonod:

And it's ugly. :ack:

Not mine, but identical. THIS is the last of the breed Pontiac sports car:

My first car was a '60 vette 283 power slide, power windoze.....

Lost it in a wreck, in '67, should have fixed it, but INsurance was not obtainable, so I jumped ship into Pontiacs, where I stayed for a few decades....

back into an '87 vette in '92 or so....then my '72 because it was the purrfect kitten for a hotrod.....

the car above reminds me of an old Goat.....my last A body was a '70 Lemans sport convertible, that I made a hotrod out of......I even put direct port FI on it, still have the induction.....that car FLEW, 462 engine 400 auto 321 12 bolt posi rear.....disc brakes, quick steering, better wheels/tires, still have one of the spare wheels hanging around....550 ft lbs at idle, towed a boat and 4 adult size folks up a 10% grade for about 4 miles, about 7000+ lbs.....kids in back seat, the hear that MOAN and it was time to DUCK, 80 mph going in and 100 at top of hill.....

Sadly the car was setting out in the drive just rusting away....so I sold it some 18 years ago.....:sadangel:

I like the front end. Pays homage to the early Goats like the red one above....my favourite!

fake news.....

Fasglas 03-29-2017 10:04am

Pontiac is gone for good. Holden experiment was a bad idea and a colossal failure.

Notice sales figure decline after 1968.

That original image looks more like a photoshopped Camaro.

Gee I dunno. Considering it's a pic from a click-bait car website (newcarreleasedates.com) and it's dated November 19, 2015, my guess is neither.

Just a guess tho... :spdchk:
