Auto cross with a passenger who had never ridden along before.

 it's always fun to give newbies a ride.

Did that with a camera guy from the local news station. He asked me what he should expect. I told him. "You will have cramps in your hands from holding that camera before we are done". He said yeah right.

After the run he couldn't even get out of the car for about a minute.

Especially on a small course like that one. Tough for our "big" cars. :cert:

That's a confusing course! Congrats on your passenger having fun. :hurray:

Love me some light poles. NOT. LOL

I know we are very fortunate to have our site. It's top 5 in the country for autox. :yesnod:

Let him ride shotgun with Val on the dragon. If I didn't know him so well and trust him so much, I'd have been a lil worried

I wanna know: How do you know where to go in a parking lot/area covered with cones all over?

Obviously, I've never done it. :)

It can be a challenge. Typically you are given a map and a chance to walk the course. They will put down direction and gate cones to help. But ultimately it comes down-can you "visualize" the course. It takes a lot of practice. Especially on small tight courses.

Go to any trackday event and ask for a ride with an instructor

:iagree: You won't regret it.

Only done maybe 2-3 passes on a course, here at Whitehouse Field not so very far away....17? years ago....

MY largest complaint was that the layout of the cones gave me no clear idea of the course, when driving it......so I lost interest....had a temporary/IF possible line been run down the actual course, it would have been more fun IMO.....

:issues: but yeh, it was still FUN.....:seasix:
